With years of experience in IT and networking I can usually get any network device to work. This device just didn't connect or isn't working properly. I followed all the troubleshooting steps, downloaded the user guides and the utility (which got blocked and then required another 3rd party application that is outdated?) but no matter what, the devices didn't sync. I finally did a factory reset and after that they synced on outlets that were close together but only with a red LED and 10Mbps internet at 100Mbps. I tested my WiFi in the same location and it was full 100Mbps reached. I figured the cabling might be the issue, so I ordered a TP-Link AV1000 (I was initially advised to order this unit but it was out of stock so I ordered a TrendNet unit instead). What a breath of fresh air when it arrived. TP-Link AV1000 connected immediately without additional configuration and started working immediately. I realized that I didn't have a wiring problem, just a TrendNet product that wasn't working. I spent at least an hour and a half troubleshooting this unit and had to return it. TP-Link AV1000 works great. There are much better products out there. I would be careful when buying.
