I recently bought another Maxjoy wireless car charger and I liked it so much that I bought another one for my wife's car. Additionally, this option seemed to be the best for two reasons. 1) This charger is labeled/rated as a 10 amp charger which means it can work with even newer big screen devices like the Note S9 and iPhoneX. 2) Unlike the other one I bought, this one doesn't have a constant blue light to distract the driver or lure a potential thief. However, I ordered this one and pretty much everything else is the same. I'll list the pros and cons I found below: Pros: 1) Fees are great. I measured the ampere output of this charger versus my OEM wireless desktop charger and the results were almost identical. In real life, it charges my phone just as quickly, so you don't have to make sure my phone (or my wife's phone) is fully charged before getting in the car. 2) I'm not a fan of automatic opening. /close clip, I wish there was a manual close/unlock mechanism, but it works very well. Hold your phone near the charger and it will open, place it in the charger and it will close. Then touch the button on the side and it will open for release. In addition, it is very difficult to remove the phone when it is clamped without opening it. So don't worry about it ever falling out. The downsides are really two issues that are specific to the mount and mounts, so in a way these aren't issues with the charger itself. They do, however, detract from the usefulness of the product. 1) The charger ball socket itself is not as deep as it should be. For some reason it is about 6mm (30%) thinner compared to other holders as you can see in my third photo. It doesn't matter if you use it exclusively with the included accessories, in fact the included vent mount has a flattened ball mount to accommodate shallower depths, but if you try to use it with a different mount (like I did), you may run into problems bump. I had to mix and match base, ball mount and collar from different products to get it working for me. 2) The reason I mention the above issue is because when I installed the suction cup charger on the windshield, the arm extension angle prevented the charger from tipping backwards. In fact, in one of the orientations (not pictured) the charger had some downward tilt. By flipping the suction cup, I was able to achieve a very slight back/up tilt, but not much. You can see in my last photo the collar touches the hand and that is as far as it can be pulled back. Due to assembly issues I decided to pair the charger with the CD slot mount we already had. In the end, this turned out to be the best decision, but it shouldn't have come to that. Again, the main issues I had were with the mounts, so I'm only deducting one star. Otherwise, it looks like a solid charger and gets the job done. Personally, I would wish the charger had a Type-C connector instead of Micro-USB. So I could have just one wire that could serve multiple purposes. But again, this will vary depending on your needs I think.
