First, these headphones are beautifully finished. They look and feel like $1,000 plus headphones. The included travel case is also very high quality. The sound is not "audiophile quality" as they have a V-shaped acoustic profile with pronounced bass. The bass is not booming or annoying, but emphasized. This can usually be fixed if your phone or DAP has an equalizer feature. Speaking of phones, these headphones are the most efficient I've ever used or owned, and they're easy to control on most smartphones or small DAPs like the Fiio M3K or M6. Finally, they're quite comfortable to wear for extended periods and also block out more ambient noise than my other headphones, making them great for subway, bus, or plane travel. I think these headphones will appeal to all but the most discerning audiophile and will likely have to spend a lot more to improve them.
