Review on πŸ“· Canon Vello Shutterboss Version II Timer Remote Switch with 3-Pin Connection by Gabriel Salleh

Completely out of service in less than 2 years and about 2000 shots. Not worth the price!

This product worked for the first few months. It then started acting strange and would trip up from time to time. Then it worked again for some time lapse. I noticed that I lost a few frames in the frame. Then, after testing again, I found that the intervalometer only works intermittently and is not reliable. I lost some strings on a trip to Canada and one day it just stopped working for me. Manual trigger, intervalometer - both just don't work anymore. The device failed 2 years after purchase. I have never dropped it or exposed it to heat, moisture or any kind of impact. For almost 60€ I expected a better product. This one just isn't worth it. Your best bet is to stick with either the original Canonical or the really cheap Neewer. At least the cheap ones don't cost $60 and then fail. At that price I could get almost 4 generics and even if each one only lasts a year I'd still get more shots of it than that Vello crap.

Pros
  • For Canon EOS 3-pin digital SLR | Wired remote control | Shutdown and reset options
Cons
  • Expensive
