Bought for my Apple TV 4. Apple removed the optical output during this release and my soundbar suddenly became unusable. Someone recommended this solution and I'm happy to report that it works great! It restored all of my soundbar's functionality without sacrificing sound or picture quality. I know several people have reported a decrease in image quality, but I haven't noticed anything. My TV is an older 1080p Samsung model that doesn't support modern features like HDR, so nothing has probably changed. In addition, the sound is also excellent. I took an old Apple TV (with an optical output) and compared the sound between an Apple TV connected to a converter and an Apple TV connected directly to a soundbar. No difference, at least to my untrained ears. The product is made of high quality materials and looks very durable. It seems built to last and hasn't given me any problems. I got concerned after several reviews said I had to keep resetting my setup and that the Apple TV would shut down, but I haven't experienced anything like this after a week of multiple hours of use a day. In general - an excellent product. Perfectly tailored to my needs. Highly recommended.
