They appear to be made of bamboo blend muslin, which gives them extra softness. Somewhat comparable to sleeping bags that double the price. Worth every penny. The outer layer of white is softer than blue, probably because the blue dye is a bit thicker, but the inner layer of both colors is just as soft.
