I bought the PGA58 after long debating buying the XM8500. This is a great microphone for the price. The sound quality is excellent for both male and female vocals. noise problem. So if you put it on a mic stand, everything is fine. An additional pop screen helps when singing from less than 4 inches away. If you go to 6-7 inches, it works fine without a pop filter. The sound is very smooth and brings out the details of the voice when singing. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the volume. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
