These are some VERY warm, fluffy socks! They feel like you are walking on warm, puffy clouds. Definitely great for winter weather. They are much warmer than standard "fuzzy socks". They have rubber dots on the bottom for traction on hard floors. They are so puffy, they would be hard to wear with most shoes, unless the shoes usually fit about a half to a full size loose in regular socks. They seem more for running around the house than wearing out. I usually wear a women's 9.5 and the size I received fit loose- they fit my foot and leg, but not snug fitting as socks often are. The top of the sock went about half way up my lower leg. So far I haven't noticed significant shrinkage when washed and dried. The color pattern seems versatile enough to be worn by women and men.
