Being in my 90's and using this type of instrument for the first time, it is very likely that I will change my mind over time. It's heavier than expected, but that's a result of the very good workmanship and great quality. Having worked with 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, etc. all my life, I'm afraid I might make a mistake when converting. One of the first things I tried was setting the depth of cut on my router table, which should be 9/32. However, I ended up using my old trial and error method. I always try to have a supply of scrap wood.
