I love the light! I have a black LED in my bookshelf light but I just bought another one. If you look at the end it looks like a star Last one During the week I noticed that 4 whole rows or groups of LEDs went dark, so if you look down at the top of the star the LED lines should go off at the top of the star's "shoulders" and then also on the two surfaces, which form the apex of the star. I think I've had it for about a year now and I will admit to using it all the time. Anyway, it's a great product when used! not my whole bedroom (9x9 bedroom ).In the end I wouldn't buy another one if I didn't like the product.It reacts to UV light with the various fluorescent colored items I have it seems as if they were actually generated by black light or UV light etc.
