Easy to install and use

Fast internet is available in a building about 300 meters away, but the range is much greater. Worked for about 2 years with no problems, then we had a power outage where the power flickered several times before finally cutting out. This reset the devices to factory defaults resulting in no internet in the barn. Resetting devices didn't help. I contacted Cambium support. Within hours, they responded with an 8-page guide on how to reconfigure devices. I have no IT experience but I got it up and running in about 30 minutes. After that, Cambium's technical staff asked me to contact them and they walked me through reconfiguring both devices. It took over an hour but now the configuration is perfect for my specific application and the security is much better. The software has also been updated. These units are far more efficient than I could have imagined and they can do a lot more. I highly recommend these devices if you need internet in a remote building, but I think I'll buy a backup battery for each end to avoid reconfiguration.

Pros
  • Great value for money
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
