The temperature readings were checked in parallel with a conventional mercury thermometer. The mercury thermometer shows everything correctly. The electronic one underestimates the temperature readings (any). This, apparently, is an ineradicable shortcoming of all electronic thermometers. It's time for manufacturers to think about this, how to teach an electronic thermometer to measure temperature with the same accuracy as a mercury thermometer. In the meantime, electronic thermometers clearly lose this comparison. The electronic thermometer is imperfect at this point in time (2022)!
