We have two dogs, one is a Shiba Inu, MORE. We wanted to keep it off our bed so we didn't have to vacuum the bedspread every night before bed. We tried putting an unbuttoned sleeping bag on the bed every morning but our two dogs piled it up and made nests out of it so obviously it didn't work. We have bought this item twice. The first time it took about six months. This definitely kept the Shiba out of bed because she is shy and hates the sound. This is where our live Boston Terrier comes in, who doesn't always like the Shiba because the Shiba steals their toys and chews on them. Our Boston Terrier noticed that the Siba didn't like this, so when the Shiba annoys her, the Boston Terrier will jump onto the bed, run over it and do "Brody" just to rustle the bedspread. This causes Shiba to run out of the dog door, leaving the toy and space for himself. Our Boston Terrier is really very imaginative. The cover ripped a bit after a while so I figured if I had to buy it every six months it would be worth it. Well, the second one didn't last that long, it ripped after a few weeks. On the other hand, I don't have to cover the bed with a blanket anymore because the Shiba thinks the bed itself makes rustling noises and doesn't get too close to her, so her hair isn't on my bed anymore.
