I bought this phone to hang on the wall, Jack in the kitchen, but more for nostalgic reasons. I just wanted a plain old phone aka POTS. I just wanted to use it as a second phone but my husband fell in love with it and wanted to use it. So I installed it. Works great, looks great, love the red light. However, the call is very loud. It brought me back to the days when I wanted call controls on my phone. Talk about nostalgia. That's why I only gave four stars. But now that I solved the loud ringtone issue, we are very happy with the phone. It was the first thing my daughter noticed when she walked into the kitchen and even fell in love with it. All this about the phone sounds crazy, but there's nothing like a good reminder of the past, not even the phone.
