I like that it's metal and insulated. I considered getting a cheaper plastic bottle, but after seeing people's reviews that their bottle broke after being dropped only once, I decided to buy one and pay once. I wasn't thrilled that I spent nearly $60 on a water bottle. But I figured I could take a cheaper plastic one, disassemble it and replace it. I might as well use one I know won't break. I love that there are different lid options. I started using a bell with a small hole but it was difficult to carry around. I don't wear it by the neoprene-coated shoulder straps. So I changed it to a cap with a handle.
