For my purpose this exercise bike is great for the money. I had a hip replacement in January and it was suggested I do cycling for short periods of time. I do think you can get a good work out on this machine, I just haven't gotten there yet. I did cycling in the gym for the last 12 years so I am familiar with the process. I found this bike easy to use, it is quiet and smooth, well calibrated and I find that the functions all seem to work. I am most interested in millage and speed. It takes up very little space, even less when folded. I am 5' tall and have to stretch a bit to lift my leg over the seat. I do find the space between the seat and handle bars on the narrow side. Not an issue for me but could be for a larger person. That didn't seem to bother my husband, he's 5'8' and 180 lbs. It's not a studio bike but does pretty much the same things.
