Some complain about this type of cake cutter. Before use, it is important that the cake is chilled, even frozen. Perhaps they should include this bit in the instructions. It is also important to place the cake on a sufficiently large surface (bowl, tray, plate) so that the cake is perfectly flat. Otherwise, the results can be less than stellar. But the product actually works well, is easy to clean and store, and is well worth it if you love making unique or fancy cakes. Also great for unique cuts when used from the side or at an angle.
