Body doesn't work in Cricut

So with this body and blade my Cricut barely cuts. When I put the blade in the Cricut case where my fine point blade was, it cut a lot better, but still didn't cut through a cereal box. Too many variables so tell me if the problem is with the blade or something else. I'd have to buy the familiar Cricut blade to really compare. I could have saved money by just buying blades, but I didn't realize it was possible to use a case with a thin blade.
