Review on FoodSaver Vacuum GM710 000 GameSaver Sealing by Alexis Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If it doesn't suck, it might need new pads! ($3 each at foodaver!)

Love it. This is my first and hopefully last vacuum sealer. That works great. I just want to properly seal liquids (haven't tried it, but I've read that liquid pouches aren't for things like soups, they're for "juicy" meats etc.). Many people have left negative reviews about it not being vacuumed and sealed after X months, years, fills, etc., hence calling it cheap Chinese plastic junk. I can't confirm other types of failures, but if your machine stops sucking, especially if it only appears to succeed when you hold the lid down, then your gasket(s) (the soft, elongated thing that comes out of the top - and underside ) may be damaged and/or need to be replaced. The whole machine is not necessarily rubbish or scrap. It's well made, but it's reasonable that some parts will need to be replaced after some time/use! This is a cheap and quick solution if you go to foodaver's website and find your vacuum sealer model and therefore the seals. They have a pad for about $3, I bought 2 for $6 with shipping for $3. ($9 cheap compared to $200 for a car) and if that happens or the gasket fails too soon I'm sure they would do anything to help if you contacted the company (unless , you are outside the Revain return window). . Either way, it's better than wasting a $200 car.

Pros
  • Same as always
Cons
  • Expensive
