Review on ๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ Midwest Can 1200-12PK Gas Can - Bulk Purchase of 1 Gallon Capacity Cans (Pack of 12) by Ricky Snyder

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good quality plastic jug.

I'll start with the cons. What I received is not what is shown in the photo (see photo). The advert listed a 5600 with a red tip, but I received a 5610 with a black tip. You must be wondering if one of the Midwestern engineers filled the gas jar. The "Flame Shieldโ„  Security System" is the most idiotic and insecure feature I've come across on gas tanks, outside of the geniuses from California and the US Environmental Protection Agency. A modern EPA-approved gas dispenser will not fill a canister with an EPA-approved Midwest Flame Shield Safety System installed. It is impossible. The EPA injector on the pump thinks the gas bottle is full and automatically shuts off when the bottle is full. But let's get to the gas cartridge nozzle. You need 2 people to fill the lawn tractor. Impossible to fill it up without spilling it on the ground or in my case the crop. You have to press the red clip, hold the spring-loaded nozzle, flip the black tab that holds the nozzle, and then the gas will flow. Not enough air to release the gas. When you fill, the gas goes everywhere, albeit in a trickle. Presumably this means that fewer exhaust gases can destroy our air, but the gas will spread everywhere and will destroy our bodies of water and our groundwater. Again, the EPA never used those ridiculous spouts. This is 100 percent mandated by the EPA, not the fault of the Midwest. Be prepared to spend another $10 to modify the pitcher. Now for the pros. The gas can itself is made of very thick plastic and is made in the shape of a tank. After a modification to my liking, it works like a gas cartridge. Expect to modify any brand of gas cylinder these days, but make one like this durable.
