I bought this unit as a digital speedometer for my 2011 F150 5.0. I like this thing because it gives me real-time data straight from the system computer. It also works as a scanning tool. Although I don't currently have any codes on the car, I appreciate the added feature. The sensor does not lag and responds well to changes in speed. Throttle response is also very good. The readings on the dashboard appear to match what is shown on the digital display. Another thing that got me excited is that the device turns off automatically when I turn off the truck ignition. It even shows a fast 3,2,1 countdown on and off. I can't be sure if this applies to all cars, I'm very glad it does for me. I bought an over dash cell phone mount to use as a windshield display. This is a great digital readout for my speed and other gauges. But I like that it allows me to keep my eyes on the road. For around $50, my truck felt like I had something much newer and more modern.
