It provides a durable mouse tab that is very useful. However, it is very smooth. The mouse slips at the slightest tilt of the laptop or laptop. My mouse has slipped and fallen on the floor so many times that I need a new mouse soon. In fact, I stopped using it for a while because I got tired of picking up the mouse off the floor. I highly recommend adding felt or other material to keep the mouse from sliding around as easily.
