Review on 🚿 Berkey Shower Filter - Chlorine Reduction up to 95% (Without Shower Head) by David Bar

Installed this shower filter exactly 5 months ago and it has worked very well with our spring water alongside the water softener (we have a very heavy iron). In the last 2 months I've noticed my soap and shampoo not working at all - my face is full of pimples, my skin is dry and itchy, and my hair doesn't color properly and has a sticky but dry texture. I went back to Revain to find out how long it had been and maybe it already needed replacing? One of the other reviewers mentioned backwashing and I asked my husband to follow the instructions in the documents that came with the filter. The backwash water was disgusting! Dark orange-brown in color and took a long time to clear and clear. Of course we had to flush the water regularly like a pool filter! From now on we wash the first weekend of the month. I showered today and the soap, detergent, shampoo and conditioner all worked as they used to. This filter works, but don't forget to backwash! I also see that the price has gone up - I paid $46 in September 2018.
