This hair straightener works great. You must use it on dry hair. I usually wrap my daughters hair in dubi, after washing it is easier to dry it with a hair dryer or flat iron. So it wasn't much different than what we usually do. The straightener comes with hair clips, a glove that will come in handy when you use it on the 3rd, 4th or 5th setting. It took about 35-40 minutes or so, it's 6 pieces, 3 on each side. Also because my daughter has thick hair and I let the straightening iron run several times. I think it works just as well as an iron. But you must have dry hair as it is not made for wet hair. Also remember to use the glove they sent because if you use an iron or hair dryer you know it will get hot. We used level 3 and it's really good for straightening, but it's also hot. If you're used to hair dryers, irons and the like, this is a great addition.
