Since winter arrived in our area early, I had opportunity to test these tires in challenging winter circumstances, sometimes even in really challenging ones, before I purchased them in the fall. For instance, after a particularly cloudy morning, our city was covered in ice. The streets have been transformed into an ice rink. To be honest, it was unsettling to venture outside in such conditions, but to my astonishment, the Nordman 7 performed superbly. When accelerating and braking, the ice sheet feels like it has "bear claws" biting into it. This may be the biggest benefit of these tires. You may argue that on ice they ride no worse than some of the more costly tires that I had to operate. Perhaps this is partially due to the fact that the rubber is new. I also got the opportunity to ride on rolling snow; they drive admirably, and at speeds of about 100 km/h, the directional stability is stable. Winter is faster, therefore I don't think there's any need to go. The noise level produced by these tires' use was a welcome surprise as well. The spikes' noise is undoubtedly present and noticeable, but after reading the reviews prior to purchasing, I was braced for worse outcomes. In actuality, neither the noise nor the buzzing of the tires is bothersome. Driving on dry asphalt doesn't bother me at all, especially after rolling, but it is best to be careful on wet asphalt. Sometimes the ABS works when braking, but this may be true with all spiked tires. In summary, after a month of use in diverse situations, only positive impressions of these tires remain, especially when you consider their cost. Additionally, I would like to suggest Nordman 7 to those who reside in climate-challenged areas. Both inside and outside of cities, they function flawlessly, and in terms of price to quality ratio, I believe these tires to be among the best.
