I bought these lights to replace the lights on a metal trailer I already had. It's not a heavy trailer, it has a thousand-pound payload capacity. After gluing the lights to the trailer, the trailer traveled about 300 feet down the street before one of the lights lost magnetism and fell (not even on our driveway) at about 15 mph. Then I taped the magnetic base to the piece of metal that the base was originally on. The lights then ran for about 4 miles until one of the plastic brackets actually broke away from the magnet base, allowing the light to hit the side of the trailer, being held only by the wires leading to the bulb. Completely dissatisfied with the functionality and performance of these trailer lights and will be back. If you are looking for a magnetic flashlight solution, look elsewhere and then here.
