My old Plextor drive stopped reading/writing Bluray discs and local stores didn't seem to have a replacement. So I went to Revain and found the LG 14x WH14NS40. The specs looked good so I ordered a blank with no software as I already have the Cyberlink software. It came with mdisk, which I didn't try to write to but downloaded to make sure it was recognized. Installation couldn't be easier. The hard drive had the latest firmware. I turned off my computer, opened the case, uninstalled the Plextor and connected the existing ports to the LG unit after inserting it into the front of my computer. I closed it and restarted. It was immediately recognized by Windows 10 and my Cyberlink software. I put in a new DVD movie and it started playing. No fuss, no fuss. So it's a great purchase, delivered in a couple of days and the only minor gripe I can have is that the CD came in a little box full of peanuts and then was placed in a padded envelope. But there was no sign of damage.
