I wanted my preschooler to like these scissors, I really did. It seemed such a great idea. Our pair was difficult to move together and the blades ended up getting stuck. Also, the cutting edge doesn't reach the tip, and there is a raised edge around the scissors, making it very difficult to see the line when trying to cut them. They're good for confetti shredding and random cutting, but useless unless you're really trying to cut something - it's very hard for me to do it myself with them (or at least I had to - we ended up throwing them away). A few months of practice and some excellent cutting books have made regular children's scissors a much better investment for my daughter. At 3 1/2 she can now cut whatever she wants.
