This was my first attempt at going wireless at home. I've never used it with just a desktop computer before, but after purchasing the Lenovo S10 netbook I wanted to experience the convenience of being able to connect from anywhere in the house. My Belkin G router cost $30 and was probably the cheapest unit on the shelves. The package and price give you an idea that this is the cheapest model, so I'm not trying to convince you that you're getting anything more than a basic wireless router. I used the installation CD on my desktop to set it up. The steps are quite simple and won't take long. You can set your network name and then set up security by creating a passcode. It's been running for a few days now and I haven't had a single problem when trying to connect via netbook. money well spent.
