It fits just like the original.
I have a Craftman M230 small engine lawnmower. I think I didn't unscrew the lid and when I was working in my garden I ruined the lid when it got lost. I guess everyone here had a similar scenario as to why we're looking for a new cap here, aside from wear and tear. π The gas cap fits perfectly. I had no trouble falling. The original had no click when tightened, so if that's what you're looking for, walk away.
