They make me smile :)

This is the third time in over 10 years that I've tried using accent lighting in the kitchen, so I'm hoping it's "charm" this time . The first set generated A LOT of heat, so much so that I felt uncomfortable using it. The second set had minimal light and was better suited to illuminating my bookshelves but they were poorly made so I ended up not even using them there. You have options. The first two photos are mine (small kitchen) with all dark ceiling lights. In the first photo to the right of the sink, in the second to the left. I mention placement because the remote doesn't control all four at once. I've tried standing an equal distance from them, but I feel like I have to point the remote at one and the other and set two at a time. Again, small kitchen so no big deal. The other two pictures are for assembly. My hands don't have much strength anymore and the instructions to use the included sticky pads and simply unscrew the bottom to change the batteries seemed overwhelming to me. Luckily when first placed 3 magnets were firmly attached, which solved the problem of attaching 3 of the 4 I intend to use: A simple on/off switch allows you to turn the light off completely to change batteries. I thought about buying a similar magnet for a fourth light but decided to start with the duct tape I already had. This is the 4th picture. (I've given the tapes time to glue and everything seems to be working fine.) I can't comment on the color controls at the moment because I haven't had time to really experiment. At the moment, three white light brightness levels are popular.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • dim
