I bought this for my 8 year old daughter who was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. We needed something for her supplies and insulin that was easy to carry all the time. This bag is a good size for a small child to carry. It is light weight and seems to be pretty durable. Ease of access is great. Not sure about travel but it can fit everything my kid needs for her day. We carry snacks, 2 insulin pens, blood sugar monitor, lancet device, lancets, strips, a small notebook, extra needles, Chapstick, reusable water bottle, and a few other odds and ends. Pretty great bag.
