I think the connector is a bit thicker than my original charging cable. This was good for me as I feel like the connectors stretch a bit over time, my old cable had a bit of slack just a bit of movement. Every once in a while I actually had to move it around to put it back on. The cable is new, a little tight, doesn't move, doesn't come loose. If I had a brand new phone I probably wouldn't use it, I'd probably be wary of anything but the original. However, with a 6 month old phone, it works for me. And the cord is tangle-free, feels comfortable, and is durable.
