I have a floor socket that powers 5 things: two sloping areas of our breakout room, a service area with usb and sockets, a lamp and a small charger for vaping . Unfortunately, the socket is located directly under the internal electric drive. If a standard straight fork is used, it will inevitably bend or break due to the inevitable movements of the lounge chair. I bought an extension cord with an angle plug for this purpose. However, most rectangular plugs will not work in a floor outlet. Because the actual jack is inserted about 3/8 inch into the brass faceplate, most rectangular plugs cannot properly reach and latch the electrical contacts. They are great for a wall socket, but not a floor socket. The plug on this extender has a rounded section about 1/2 inch deep so it fits perfectly into the round hole on the base panel. The plug fits perfectly and still lies flat under the sun lounger. Problem solved!
