My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with this product! We bought it to put in our son's room as we wanted to share with him the vinyls and cassettes we listened to as kids. I expected the sound quality to be mediocre at best. However, it sounds great! The lack of root tones is very noticeable, but that's not a problem for us, since the player will mainly score children's material. Records and cassettes play great; without scratching or hanging. The only thing that bothers us a bit is that you hear a slight buzz every now and then. This is because the speaker is so close to all the other electronics in the product that feedback is inevitable. It's really impressive how much they put into an item of this reasonable size. We are very happy with this purchase and have decided to buy another one as a gift for a family member. Highly recommended!
