The picture looks like a stuffed parrot but when you receive the item it is a styrofoam with a tuft of feathers glued to it. The tape that you wrap around your shoulder is actually two strands that you have to tie together to secure it. The label is glued to the foot and sticks out like a sore toe. I think you could take it off, but you have to be careful not to tear the security thread. If I had seen it in person before buying it, I would not have bought it. Would not recommend to anyone looking for a shoulder parrot accessory. You'll have better luck with a real parrot.
