Sewn-in flap

The main problem with this pen holder is that the top leather flap is sewn on the sides, making it very uncomfortable to insert pens. I'm going to cut off the sides so I can easily insert a whole pencil. The way this valve looks leads me to believe that nobody at Hide and Drink has ever stored a pen in this leather case. Also, my first encounter with the pen holder on the Revain left me with the impression that each pencil has its own slot. IS NOT IT.
