I'm in love with phones and accessories

I think I'm in love. We were getting 10-20 robot calls a day and I was close to getting rid of my landline or hitting someone. My phone company charged $8 a month to add a verification feature that doesn't stop every automated call. In the five days we've been using this phone, we haven't received a single call from the robot. Not alone. The instructions are a little intimidating, but setting up the phone was easy. When screening calls, you have several options. I went with the option of prompting the caller to say their name and hit the hash key. If the caller does not do this, the call will not go through. It has a built in answering machine (additional surcharge from my commercial phone provider). I will update this review when I fall out of love but for now I'm happy. Update: My landline provider charges me over $100/year for caller ID. When I asked the phone company to remove this feature, the Smart Block feature didn't work. Work. Don't ask me why, it's just not true. Fool - I thought Smart Call Blocker would filter all incoming calls that are not in my directory. But a year and a half later, I still love this phone. And if I had five cents for anyone who asked me how I got my cell phone, I'd be rich.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Too dull
