I bought the old version before this one came out for our newborn and it was good but then the new version came out and was supposed to be even better so we decided to give it a try. I love it. It's so easy to use that the cap that removes for in-ear use is magnetic, which is a lot better than the old one that snapped open and was harder to remove and put back on. The LED screen is also great at night when you wake up groggy but need to quickly check the temperature, keep it by your bed and you don't have to go into the light looking for a thermometer. The simplicity is amazing for babies and children who don't want to sit still! 5 out of 5 would recommend and will be buying for kids parties from now on! The perfect gift for parents.
