I ordered these nuts and bolts set to use at church for children who need something to do with their hands during class time and as a busy bag for my toddler. I was a little dissappointed that I did not receive 12 pairs, but I obviously misunderstood the description. I received just the colors and combinations you see in the product picture, not 2 of each set, like I had hoped (I have up to 12 kids in my church class). It does come with the drawstring bag shown in the picture, which has been handy for storage.The pieces have all rounded edges and the sizes are as follows (for those who might be concerned about children who put things in their mouths). The nuts have a diameter of 1 and 5/8 inch each, and the bolts have a length of 2 and 1/4 inch each.My toddler easily screwed and unscrewed the sets. My son who is 5 is not interested in them. I think these will work great in the busy bins I am creating for my younger kids in my class (4 years old) who are transitioning from the nursery class. After I see how they like it, I might consider buying another set to finish out all the busy bins.
