Much has been sacrificed for the price.

Edifier is a solid quality company and generally makes good products for their price range. To hit these price points, they tend to be no-frills and focus on sound over function. You can check out my Edifier D12 review to understand this. (great product by the way) These headphones are just ok. Decent clear sound is a bit on the plus side. Very comfortable and light, but completely made of plastic and not high quality at all. They're fairly small but don't have folding loops or any sort of carry case. Overall they sound good, I compared them to my Sony WXM1000-XM4 and Sennheiser Momentum which are a lot more expensive to be honest. Edifiers are a bit bass-heavy, just can't dig as deep compared to them, emphasizing the top frequencies and drowning out a bit in the lower mids. Noise cancellation is basic and pretty weak. I have a large data center in my office that effectively mimics the cockpit sounds of a jet plane. They work, but only reduce noise by about 30%, and the best models in this range, like my Sony pair, reduce noise by 70-80%. It's obviously unfair to compare a $60 pair of headphones to a $300 pair. These are great budget headphones, perfect for the office and even for the occasional trip. On the other hand, I can't help but think that there are better options for just a few bucks more. For example, the $20 more expensive Anker Souncore Q30 offers more features, much nicer looks and build quality, much better noise cancellation, and as far as sound goes from the get-go, they're probably not as well tuned as the Edifiers they did to offer. Equalizer app to customize the sound signature to your liking. Even in this price range, there are some established models from Tribit that offer strong competition. To be honest I'd love to see what Edifier can do for say $100. With this model, it's clear that they had to sacrifice too much to reach the price point.
