I bought these for my boyfriend (I use loofah mesh/sponge) and he uses them with no complaints. However, when I had to use them on a hike, they were very abrasive and rough. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for exfoliation and I don't have sensitive skin at all; However, this was on the explicit/extreme side of "peeling". This experience was after a few uses, so it doesn't necessarily soften that much. I think it's good for the money. So if you don't need to exfoliate your skin on a daily basis, I would recommend continuing your search for other exfoliating mesh shower towels. Also, I don't know why the review asked me about the warmth or transparency of the product. doesn't seem relevant.
