Think of it like a photo lab and motorized gimbals like Lightroom

First off, if you're even considering this purchase, you must have already watched a million steadicam/glidecam videos on YouTube. At least that's what I hope you have, otherwise you'll be throwing away close to $200 for it. This is an old school suspension. Think of it like a darkroom and motorized gimbals like Lightroom. Not everyone can just jump into the darkroom and start editing photos. It takes practice, technique and patience. But ! Giving is the result. Crisp, clean physical photos that you took and then turned into a work of art. You feel connected to the process from start to finish. That's why I bought this Steadicam. I wanted to feel more intuitive and independent of creativity. Anyone can take a motorized gimbal and shoot. But you don't have the flexibility to create unique signature motion shots. Professional cinematographers still choose steadicams. Is that a planing camera with skids and straps? no It's a $160 aluminum stick. You can learn how to take beautiful film shots and how to fly with a steadicam. In the meantime, it's a great tool for getting organic footage where your every move directly relates to you as the creator. Run, jump and walk like a ninja. You can't break it. So have fun filming. Take the risk. Instead of a $2,000 ronin when you put your hands up (like you just don't care), you have this little fella that's darn nimble and compact enough to fit in a pelican bag or backpack. Bonus: you can fend off robbers by hitting them with it, if it falls off the rickshaw it probably won't break, and if you're on the top of Mount Everest it won't run out of battery. The screws have plastic heads and that's pretty much all plastic I've found so far. I attached the Neewer Professional Quick Shoe Plate to the included cheese board. Again, you will need a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter. I really wish they had made 1/4 longer. The handle is hollow so you can attach it to a lamp stand or other location. ProAm has a great tutorial on how to balance this. No, the first few times won't be easy. Cons: No ProAm stickers. I really wanted some loot to be sent with the goods. No tote bag. Which is good, I have a suitcase with a pelican in it.
