A good turntable for many reasons

Let me start by saying that I like this turntable. If it suits my needs. My needs are: I want a fully automatic player so I can lie down and listen to a vinyl record without worrying about having to get up to turn it off. I want a turntable that can play decent sound from my vinyl records I've collected over the years. This player does both. Records will never again be my main source of recorded music. I just wanted a convenient way to play my records with decent music reproduction. That being said, this device can't play music like a $500 player or more. I have a $500 handheld turntable with a very good cartridge that slightly outperforms this turntable in terms of playback. I love him and hate him at the same time. Musically it's great. For convenience, these are pits. I need to know the last song on the record so I can prepare to get up and quit. And under no circumstances fall asleep, otherwise the needle will sharpen. So I had to decide whether I wanted great sound with discomfort and hate, or good sound with comfort and love. Since vinyl isn't my main source of music, I choose the convenience and good sound of Sony. I'm happy with the unit, but if you're looking for the best audiophile out of a turntable, this isn't it. If you want really good sound and the convenience of a car player this is for you and me. UPDATE After using this player for a while I am satisfied with it. I have no problems with speed fluctuations. So I'm wondering if people with speed issues have twisted the belt around the motor pulley or if it's not properly positioned around the radius of the pulley. It's a flat strap, not a cord strap, so I can see where it can twist if I'm not careful. Although you cannot replace the cartridge, you can upgrade the pen (needle) to an elliptical cut instead of the included conical pen. The elliptical stylus allows you to extend your writing range. Also, I replaced the felt sleeve with a nice acrylic sleeve. Then I bought a platter weight that fits over the platter spindle. I gotta tell you it sounds really good for a $200 turntable. I was surprised. Bluetooth works fine and only beeps for the Bluetooth signal. I send the signal straight to my complex 5.1 setup and the sound is fantastic. Tons of bass (with subwoofer) and very good highs. Another area where this device excels is the smoothness of the automatic functions. Very smooth operation with no judder, and the tonearm raises and lowers with smooth precision. The buttons to start, stop and lower/raise the tonearm are mechanical, but also smooth-running. Electronic touch buttons would be nice but would add cost and mechanical buttons work well. I boxed my $500 portable turntable and will keep it fully sealed in my closet and take it out at some point when needed. But to me, this player sounds great even with Bluetooth and is very comfortable to use. UPDATE After using this player for several months I am completely satisfied with it. I don't care what audio experts say, this device sounds great even using Bluetooth. It has a very smooth operating mechanism and uses damping when the needle is lowered onto the record. Very soft. Aesthetic materials that are stable and very suitable do not appear high-quality. But you get a well-built and great-sounding turntable for the price of some of those cheap all-in-ones, the ceramic cartridge. This device uses a magnetic cartridge. The only downside I've found is that the replacement stylus, which isn't currently available from Revain, is expensive. Ridiculous for the price. I buy two pens to have on hand. When I first ordered from an authorized Sony dealer, it cost me $40. A month later I ordered another one and to my surprise it was $60.00. But now I have three pens and they should last for many years and it's worth it.
