My wife loves hot loose tea and prefers it to coffee most days, but rarely finishes the whole cup when I have it for her and she doesn't like it when I try to put it in the fridge the next day and then reheat it because she says the taste changes. Since her work starts an hour before mine (we're both working from home this year of the pandemic) I usually cook breakfast for us and it's important for me to figure out how to cook what she wants as she always everything cooks for me . . . I ask during lunch break because her break starts earlier and lasts longer. I also HATE throwing away food, even if the food is only half a pot of brewed tea, because don't throw away, don't want to, and why spend a dollar, etc. The Great Depression is at play here...). I mean, I'm not saying she's wrong, she drinks tea and I don't care most of the time, so I don't help her drink tea from the kettle in the morning. With that in mind, I really wanted to find a better way to make a cup instead of forcing myself to drink the rest of the pot each day so it doesn't get thrown away (don't judge me). . , I know I'm funny, she never asked me to do any of that lol). I've tried a few varieties of these disposable tea infuser (tea ball, reusable tea bag, disposable tea bag, etc.). Cleaning was either tedious (not dishwasher safe, fragile hinges prone to breaking, impossibly small crevices almost impossible to clean without three Hail Marys and Leprechaun goodwill), the cost was ridiculous (disposable disposable tea bags - and yes , I have recyclable ones, take it easy) or they just didn't work (either the leaves were smaller than the holes and went into the drink, or the tea itself didn't brew because for some reason the water didn't circulate through the brewing holes). - Lo and behold, reusable tea bags). When I got to these guys I was pretty sure it was going to be just another crash for one of the reasons above. I was very surprised to discover that they actually do exactly what they are supposed to do! They're pretty easy to fill. I don't use the spoon that came with them because our tea leaves are too naughty to work well with (but I'm sure you could), we just use it for other things. You hold it open by pressing the tab (quite ergonomic and easy to hold open when filling), put the tea in and release the tab to close it. Make sure all the leaves are in and don't overfill the cup or some leaves could fall out of the tab or the leaves could stick out between the two sides which could cause them to fall into the water one day. You put it in a cup. Once closed, it stays fairly closed and won't fall apart from the heat of the water, leaving the leaves inside. When it's time to clean up, either let the sheets dry a little so they're easier to throw away, or just rinse them with a little water until both sides are empty. It takes a little effort, but nothing will change the spirit or dimension like some of the previous products I've tried. And then you can just hand wash them if you like or throw them in the dishwasher if you feel like it. For me it's no harder than cleaning a garlic press or a citrus press or something like that. The spring isn't so stiff that it's difficult to open, but also not so loose that it can't be closed, and they've held up to almost daily use so far. I am very impressed. So now the wife is content with her One Morning Tea, I'm glad I don't feel obliged to empty the rest of the unnecessary teapot each day and then spend half the night staring at the ceiling and yelling at myself ask why i woke up and now we can both focus on important things e.g. B. whose turn it is to clean the tray (I did it yesterday so it's her turn today) and what should we cook for dinner? short happy wife, happy life. Now, if you'll excuse me, it was pointed out that if I clean the tray today, she'll be cooking my favorite food for dinner, and I'm no fool. DR: Good price, features as advertised, durable, easier to clean than most
