It's waterproof but I'm not overly impressed with the design or durability, I also have to consider my dog's breed. The plates are still tight! but flexible and don't stay in place too well. The straps don't fit well and after a month they started to loosen. I sew them back on and now they seem to be holding up better. Depending on the circumstances, my dog often slips between the center console and the cover itself, or between the front and side panels and rides on the seat under the seat cover, just defeating the purpose. But he's a bad guy and loves a challenge, so maybe a less creative dog will do better.
