I bought this for a friend who reads a lot and injured her wrist. It was ideal for storing books and magazines of all sizes. I tried it on my laptop and bought it immediately. It is made of durable aluminum and is quite light. An amazing feature is the great flexibility that allows you to create a customization that suits your specific needs. I've bought several other laptop stands and none of them have allowed me to set the rig up at the right angle no matter what I'm doing. My hips are wider than the base, so I just lift my legs a little and move the pose towards me. Works perfectly. Cons: Since it's not designed for laptops, there's room for a mouse, but I can get by with it. The flexibility to place the laptop more than makes up for the adjustments I have to make.
