This external hard drive was great at first! The laptop didn't recognize it so I plugged it into my friend's computer and it worked! When I plugged it back into my Mac it did works normally. Every time the hard drive was not recognized, I plugged it into my computer and after that it worked fine. Eventually it stopped working. "Repair" and "Verify" didn't work either when I ran Disk Utility I stopped trying to give it to my friend who uses it for his PS4. I think this thing was designed to work with PC and consoles. I've since invested in Seagate. So yeah, definitely not for Mac .
