Overall this set is a fairly accurate representation of the F14A Tombcat. Let's fix the vulnerabilities first. the nose is thin and doesn't hold up well 2. landing gear comes off easily 3. wing hinges could be stronger4. a weak air intake where the missiles are attached clearly outweigh the benefits1. The wings flap like a real cat. includes all the details right down to the tail hook and front-facing camera3. The vertical stabilizers tilt just like in Tomcat4. Wing ailerons move 5. realistic lettering Mods needed to make it more realistic / fix bugs in the instructions1. Paint the canopy to match the front view of the real Tombcat2. Remove the one-piece piece on the inside leading edge of each wing. Add 2 gray dots where the wing touches the body. This will prevent the wings from moving too far forward. As the model ships, the wings may be too far forward for the wing arrow type. The kit was fairly easy to assemble and the instructions are clear. It's not a toy unless you super glue it on.
