I bought this unit and battery to power a 12vdc water pump for my hydroponic garden. This device is well made and the frame is sturdy and will support the panel properly. It comes with all the necessary parts and a nice and strong U-shaped metal bracket to attach the panel to the structure it is mounted on. The mount makes it easy to aim the panel in the best position to catch the sun at my location (and as the seasons change I can easily adjust it). The solar panel controller is mostly made of metal (epoxy bottom?). It has three LEDs that change color from green to yellow and red. Green indicates that everything is fine, yellow - at the limit, and red - insufficient power. It charges a 12V DC battery and when fully charged, the battery indicator turns green. I had several days with very cloudy skies and during that time the battery didn't fully charge. However, when I had a sunny day, the battery was charged and the little pump started working again.
